15 Gripping Shows to Watch If You're Already Dreading the End of The 100

Over the last few years, The CW's The 100 has grown into one of my favorite series. Clever and unique, the show has evolved in unexpected ways. Despite the sci-fi plot, the characters have gradually become more realistic and complex. Octavia's transformation to Blodreina and Murphy's trajectory from villain to hero are just two examples of the incredible character development in the series. In mere weeks, fans of The 100 will be mourning the show's conclusion after six years and seven seasons. That's why we've gathered 15 gripping series you may not have dipped into yet. While there's no substitute for another fresh season of The 100 , these will at least help you get over the void. Related: In Need of a Netflix Binge? Every Woman Who's Been Linked to Basketball Star Scottie Pippen Over the Years

ESPN's insanely popular docuseries The Last Dance (now airing on ABC) has led to a resurgence of interest in Scottie Pippen, the basketball star whose career was often overshadowed by Michael Jordan's iconic status . Scottie's career is at the forefront of the second episode, but his personal life has come back into the spotlight as well. The former Chicago Bulls player has been linked to several women over the decades, and he's been married twice. In fact, while Michael has an impressive five kids , Scottie has him beat with seven kids. If you're curious about his personal life, keep reading to get the scoop. https://ift.tt/3dPdngO

The 100 Exposed Me to a Diverse LGBTQ+ Community and Helped Me Embrace My Own Sexuality

In recent years, people have wanted to see more television that reflects their own lives, as well as the lives of people around them. As a result, LGBTQ+ representation on television has skyrocketed with an explosion in quality and variety, allowing for greater visibility and acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community. One such show is The 100 . The post-apocalyptic series has always portrayed diverse and outspoken characters, especially women, since its debut. But in season two, the series took character representation to the next level when it introduced two bisexual characters - Clarke and Lexa. The 100 marked such a milestone in LGBTQ+ representation that it helped me discover and come out as bisexual. In the episode, "Bodyguard of Lies," Clarke and Lexa share a kiss after a brief argument, and eventually in season three become lovers. And, although those two characters getting together in and of itself wasn't anything special, the fact that The 100 chose to use sexual

Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra Were an Iconic '90s Couple, but Their Marriage Didn't Last

Among the many revelations in the docuseries The Last Dance is an account of the bizarre time when oddball basketball player Dennis Rodman married Carmen Electra in 1998. Their marriage was incredibly short-lived , but it was all the more memorable for its strange circumstances and sudden dissolution. Electra and Rodman got married in Las Vegas on Nov. 14, 1998, after what People described as "an all-night bender." Only nine days later, Rodman filed for an annulment of the marriage on the grounds that he had not been of sound mind on the night when they got married. For a brief time, the couple reconciled and attempted to work things out, but the marriage was ultimately short-lived. Although they were frequently seen in public together in early 1999, by March of that year, they had filed for divorce, resulting in a marriage that lasted less than six months and was dogged with scandal and rumors of infidelity from the very beginning. Looking back, it makes sense that

The Last Dance's Soundtrack Will Take You Back to the '90s and Early 2000s, in the Best Way

ESPN has heard our cries and answered our prayers with the release of The Last Dance , a 10-episode documentary series following Michael Jordan's life and the unforgettable 1990s Chicago Bulls team led by Jordan himself . The docuseries, now airing on ABC, has received massive praise from hoop fans everywhere, and we can't help but credit some of that success to the epic soundtrack, which radiates with '90s nostalgia. Thankfully, Netflix and ESPN have teamed up with Spotify to curate an official The Last Dance playlist . Titles range from Drake and Future's "Jumpman" to Lupe Fiasco's "Superstar" and, of course, "Sirius," the Chicago Bulls' starting-five theme song, by The Alan Parsons Project. Ahead, listen and watch some of the greatest musical hits from the series, and tune into ABC every Saturday to watch The Last Dance . The series will be available on Netflix come July 19 . https://ift.tt/2WEBesH

How Did Michael Jordan Meet Yvette Prieto? They Met in a Surprisingly Relatable Way

You don't have to enjoy basketball to enjoy The Last Dance . ESPN's 10-part documentary (now airing on ABC) revolves around basketball legend Michael Jordan and the 1997 to 1998 Chicago Bulls season, offering an intimate look into MJ's impressive career. Unfortunately, if you're looking to learn more about his personal life, you might be disappointed. Michael didn't meet his wife of seven years, Yvette Prieto , until 2008, which was a decade after Michael led the Bulls to six NBA championships and then retired from the team. It may not be the focus of The Last Dance , but the story of how Michael and Yvette met is definitely worth knowing. These Pics of Michael Jordan and His Wife, Yvette Prieto, Deserve All the Heart-Eye Emoji

Sorry, fam - if you're hoping to see Michael Jordan's wife, Yvette Prieto, make an appearance on The Last Dance , it's probably not going to happen. The focus of the 10-part sports documentary is on the 1997-1998 Chicago Bulls season, which is considered the peak of Michael's career , and he didn't end up meeting his wife until 2008. Even if the documentary focuses on a later part of his life, it's still unlikely that Yvette would be included, as she and Michael tend to keep a low profile, despite the basketball player's fame. However, whenever the two do step out together, they always look cute AF, and we have the pics to prove it. Nope, That Wasn't Michael Jordan's House You Saw in The Last Dance

If you happened to notice that some of the interview spots in The Last Dance seemed a bit sparse, you're not alone. After watching legendary basketball players Michael Jorden, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman throughout this entire ESPN docuseries , we had to wonder where these interviews were even filmed. Turns out, there's a whole story behind all three of these former Chicago Bulls' interviews. The Last Dance director Jason Hehir told Insider that when planning for the series, he took inspiration from the 2017 documentary The Defiant Ones about music superstars Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre. Hehir said the interviews in that documentary looked elevated and were dripping of luxury, just like the subjects of the story. Hehir wanted to emulate that with The Last Dance because it's all about NBA's elite. In trying to nail down the locations for Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman, though, he ran into a couple snags. The Last Dance: The Kenny Lattimore Song Michael Jordan Was Jamming To on the Bus in '98

It happens just a minute into the final episode of The Last Dance . It's 1998, and the Chicago Bulls are in the NBA Finals. Michael Jordan is absolutely jamming with his headphones on (and plugged into a Discman) while boarding the team bus, complete with shades blocking his eyes. Someone on the bus asks him what he's listening to, and a very excited Jordan replies: "Kenny Lattimore. Brand new. Not even out yet. He's a friend of mine." The moment in question spawned an entire Twitter account called @jumpmanjamming , dedicated to memeing the moment with a variety of songs matched up to the clip. But if you want to watch the clip with the actual Lattimore song playing, you need to queue up "Days Like This" from his From the Soul of Man album, which was released later in 1998. After viewers took to Twitter to find out just what unreleased song Jordan was jamming to, Lattimore himself provided the answer. In 1998 I sent Michael Jordan an advanced copy
