The Sarah Dessen Novels You Fell in Love With as a Teenager Are Being Adapted For Netflix

If you fell head over heels for Netflix's sweet adaptation of Jenny Han's YA novel, To All the Boys I've Loved Before , then you should brace yourself for this exciting news: three of bestselling YA author Sarah Dessen's novels are also being turned into feature films by the streaming platform! According to The Hollywood Reporter , Netflix has optioned This Lullaby , Once and For All , and Along for the Ride , the latter being the first of Dessen's books to be adapted. After the success of other YA books-to-movies like Dumplin' , The Kissing Booth , and To All the Boys I've Loved Before , it makes total sense that Netflix would expand its roster of upcoming young adult-focused films (and I, for one, am deeply here for their choices). The first of Dessen's books to get the adaptation treatment, 2009's Along For the Ride , follows a young girl named Auden who has to spend the Summer in a tiny beach town with her dad after he gets divorced from h

The 10 Biggest Differences Between Disney's Aladdin Reboot and the Original

The last time we got to see everyone's favorite street rat attempting to steal trinkets in Agrabah, it was 1992. But now, thanks to Hollywood's insatiable need to remake all the movies of our childhoods, we have a 2019 take on Aladdin starring Mena Massoud as the live-action version of the character. Will Smith is also on hand as the wise-cracking Genie, and Naomi Scott plays the angelic-voiced Princess Jasmine. While much of the story has stayed the same and the soundtrack is still as magical as ever , the Guy Ritchie-directed reboot makes a number of interesting changes to the original that go far beyond the fact that it's no longer animated. Just be warned: spoilers for the new film ahead! Related: The Aladdin Soundtrack Has Beloved Favorites, New Songs, and . . . DJ Khaled?! http://bit.ly/2W2uk2P

GLOW Heads to Las Vegas in Colorful New Photos From Season 3

Have you missed the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling? If you answer "no" to that question, that's fine, but I can't guarantee that they won't put you in a headlock. Regardless, the stars of GLOW are returning to Netflix for season three this Summer , and now we have a few colorful photos of their new adventure in Las Vegas. The third season, which premieres on Aug. 9, sees Ruth, Debbie, and the rest of the crew now headlining the Fan-Tan Hotel and Casino, where they discover that for all its glitz and glamour, Sin City is a hell of a lot of work. Netflix's official description of what's to come is below: "Ever the team cheerleader, Ruth's passion for the show begins to take a backseat to her growingly complicated personal life. Debbie is making headway as a producer, but continues to be consumed with guilt over the distance between her and her son. The First Official Trailer For HBO's Euphoria Hints at a Deeply Emotional High School Journey

We're finally getting a good look at HBO's new teenage drama series Euphoria , and it looks exhilarating . The new trailer was released on May 11 and gives a glimpse at several teens doing what they do best: living the lives of the recklessly young. Similar to Netflix's 13 Reasons Why , the series follows a group of high school students as they navigate their way through drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship. Based on the Israeli series of the same name, the show's ensemble cast boasts several familiar names, including actress and singer Zendaya, The Kissing Booth 's Jacob Elordi, model and LGBTQ+ rights activist Hunter Schafer, and A Wrinkle in Time 's Storm Reid. HBO officially picked up the series back in July, along with nabbing The Wizard of Lies ' Sam Levinson to write all 10 episodes and adding the creators of the original Israeli series and Drake as executive producers! CBS Can't Replace The Big Bang Theory, but These 8 New Shows Might Just Come Close

Believe it or not, The Big Bang Theory finally reached its conclusion after an epic 12-season run , and we're about as unhappy about it as you are. Fortunately for us, saying goodbye to the network's insanely popular series means that CBS now has plenty of new sitcoms and dramas lined up to premiere this Fall. From the FBI to the LAPD and even to the middle-aged dating scene, the shows the network plans to share with viewers are all over the map. We imagine that these eight new shows will make parting from our favorite nerdy California Institute of Technology physicists a little bit easier. The Lion King's Photorealistic Pumbaa Poster Is Freaking Some Disney Fans the F*ck Out

Disney's upcoming live-action version of The Lion King first sparked debate when the teaser for the film arrived and fans realized that it's not quite as live as many thought it would be. Like in the reboot of classic animated film The Jungle Book , the studio is going with a hyper-realistic, CGI recreation of characters in the story, which we got an up close and personal look at in a new batch of character posters released on Thursday. The cast of the remake includes everyone from Donald Glover and Beyoncé as Simba and Nala, to Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as Timon and Pumbaa. But despite the fanfare surrounding Nala's big reveal, it's Rogen's poster that has ignited a heated (and hilarious) discourse on social media. He's No "Regular-Ass Person" - He's Instagram Sensation Rickey Thompson

Rickey Thompson is feeling himself. Why? Because he's booked, he's busy, and he isn't going anywhere. Yes, this is a quote from one of his iconic Instagram posts . . .but it's also very much a summary of his current status. The 23-year-old former Vine star and current social media sensation has 3.7 million followers on Instagram and celebs like Adele and Ariana Grande are fans of his infectious videos. But he's crossed over from digital success - to credits like YouTube Originals's Foursome and a Shorty Award for Instagrammer of the Year - to certified fashionista, walking the runway for Alexander Wang and starring in H&M's new "Stay True, Stay You" Pride campaign . For the uninitiated, Thompson's videos are part vlog and part fanning over yourself. He's become famous for giving candid advice while worshipping himself, via a hilarious, Instagram friendly format that sometimes looks like it was shot in an unfurnished apartment.

Nonbinary Stars Asia Kate Dillion and Lachlan Watson Are Here For the "Queer Revolution"

Billions and John Wick 3: Parabellum star Asia Kate Dillon, 34, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina 's Lachlan Watson, 17, share a major distinction in common - they are two of the first nonbinary actors to appear on American TV. (On Billions , Dillon plays Taylor, a nonbinary character, while on Sabrina , Watson plays Theo, a character whose pronouns and name changed in the course of the show's first seasons.) In honor of Pride Month, we connected the pair for a candid phone conversation about what it felt like to finally come across characters that spoke to who they are, how they handle being misgendered, and where they hope actors like them can carve out space in Hollywood. Asia Kate Dillon: Hi! Lachlan Watson: Hi! Nice to meet you. AKD: So Lachlan, are you on set right now, as we speak? LW: I am not, no! It's a day off, so I just made myself eggs and I'm drinking tea because I had to cough up a bunch of water yesterday [at work]. I'm chilling. AKD:

And we're not exaggerating: it's disturbing, shocking, and completely bonkers. We're breaking down the details of the movie - and all its creepy twists. Charmelo), The Perfection stars Allison Williams as Charlotte , a cellist who was once a rising star at an elite academy who gave up her career for a decade to care for her dying mother. At first, the movie seems like a pretty standard-issue psychological thriller in the vein of something like Black Swan . After her mother's death, Charlotte decides to attempt to resume her career. She reconnects with her former instructor, Anton, and meets Lizzie (Logan Bro

Ed Sheeran Puts a Romantic Spin on "I Don't Care" With an Acoustic Version of the Song

When Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber came out with a new single, "I Don't Care," a few weeks back, I instantly added it to all of my Summer playlists. But now, Sheeran has gone ahead and released a solo, acoustic version of the track, and it has an entirely different vibe. While it still has the same carefree (lol) lyrics of the original - Sheeran sings about finding solace in a significant other during moments of social anxiety at a party - it strips back the music to hone in on the romantic themes of the song. The British singer-songwriter is practically the king of providing couples all over the world with first dance songs that make everyone at their wedding swoon, and this is no different. Listen to the dreamy version of "I Don't Care" above, then check out Sheeran's second collaboration off his next album, "Cross" featuring Chance the Rapper . http://bit.ly/2WxUOZz

The Teaser For Jessica Jones Season 3 Gives Us a Very, VERY Brief Look at the New Villain

As sad as we are that Netflix canceled Jessica Jones , at least it looks like the Marvel series will go out with a strong final season. In the first teaser for season three, which dropped on May 28, we find ourselves in the hallway of Jessica's (Krysten Ritter) apartment building. A man's voice is heard saying, "Jessica Jones, you are a fraud. You're a cheater. No longer," before the anonymous person bangs on her door and attacks her. There's only the briefest glimpse of the man's face interspersed with Jessica's silently screaming face, which has us even more worried about the season's tagline: "sometimes even heroes can't save themselves." Uh-oh. According to Netflix's official description of the upcoming episodes, Jessica will have to reunite with Trish (Rachael Taylor) and mend their fractured relationship in order to take down a highly intelligent psychopath (who we can only assume is the dude knocking on the door of Ali

The First Teaser For Disney and Pixar's Onward Puts Magical Creatures in a Whole New Light

Disney and Pixar are tackling the world of magical creatures in the upcoming animated feature Onward , but if you were expecting elegant unicorns and majestic dragons soaring over lush green lands, you'll be in for a shock. The first teaser takes us into a more up-to-date magical world, where garden gnomes are garden ing gnomes, mermaids chill out in inflatable pools, and trolls have come out from under the bridge to collect tolls in a slightly more modern way. It seems like Onward is set to be less of a fairy tale and more of an '80s buddy movie pastiche, with Tom Holland and Chris Pratt providing the voices for two teenage elf brothers who go on a quest to discover if there is still magic in the world. Watch the first teaser for yourself for a look at this fun magical world. The movie is set to hit theaters on March 6, 2020. http://bit.ly/2KipDeb
