Eva Mendes Reflects on the Film That United Her and Ryan Gosling, and We're Happy Crying

Eva Mendes wins #FlashbackFriday. On June 28, the actress took a trip down memory lane by posting footage of her starring alongside her beau Ryan Gosling in 2012's The Place Beyond the Pines . In the film, Gosling plays motorcycle stuntman Luke Glanton who reunites with ex-lover Romina Gutierrez (Mendes) and finds out they share a son named Jason. The clip posted by Mendes shows the family spending time together before posing for a picture. "Flashing back to one of my favorite scenes from A Place Beyond the Pines ," Mendes captioned the video, followed by a heart emoji. Working on the project together eventually led to Mendes and Gosling's real-life romance, which was confirmed in 2011 . They now share two daughters, 4-year-old Esmeralda and 3-year-old Amada.
