The TikTokers Who Cooked Up the Ratatouille Musical Talk Us Through Their Viral Moment

"Remy the Ratatouille, the rat of all my dreams." That line has been stuck in my head for weeks as I've scrolled through my TikTok feed, increasingly stumbling upon clips of a Pixar-themed crowdsourced collaboration. Yes, Ratatouille, the Musical is very much a thing online right now (it was even acknowledged by Disney's official accounts) and I had the chance to chat with the two people who started it all. It all begins with Emily Jacobsen, a 26-year-old teacher with a talent for creating songs inspired by animated characters. She told POPSUGAR she was "deep into quarantine" in August when she read an article about the Ratatouille attraction coming to Walt Disney World. As a huge Disney fan, the news stuck with her and she found herself humming a song about Remy, the rat with a penchant for cooking. "I thought this [video] was pretty funny and pretty catchy," she said. "So I decided to make a TikTok about it with some crazy visual effects an

Mads Mikkelsen confirmed as 'Fantastic Beasts' franchise's new Grindelwald

The Harry Potter universe has finally found a new fantastic beast.  Warner Bros. has officially confirmed Mads Mikkelsen will replace Johnny Depp in the third Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them film, making Dumbledore's crush on the wizard Nazi Grindelwald make way more sense. Mikkelsen is no stranger to evil magic users, having previously played supervillain sorcerer Kaecilius in Doctor Strange. The Danish actor also has a significant history of playing amoral or downright villainous characters such as Hannibal's charismatic title character, and was the eponymous Bitch in the music video for Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money." I will forever embrace the teen angst of 2000s pop punk

Welcome to  No Shame November ! This week we're diving into the pop culture we love that society tells us we shouldn't. I'm pretty sure 2000s pop punk is the only thing that got me through my teenage years, and it's still helping me through life now. The music of this era came from bands — now with matured sounds — like Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Panic! At the Disco. It was known for its upbeat tempos, blaring guitars, moody vocals, and adolescent themes. It was hated on for being too depressing, too whiny, too hardcore, and not hardcore enough. The music was often plagued by vaguely misogynistic lyrics, and the subculture surrounding it contained far too few bands led by women and people of color and far too many men who abused their power to harm vulnerable fans. Shudder's gory 'The Pale Door' trailer splices witches with western outlaws

There are a desert-load of great western movies out there, and there are also more awesome witch flicks than you can shake a broomstick at. But what if you want both at the same time? Enter The Pale Door . Aaron B Koontz' latest Shudder offering takes real 19th century outlaws the Dalton Gang and places them in a coven masquerading as a brothel. The result is a mashup of gunslingers and witches that we never knew we needed, the trailer for which suggests gore and action aplenty. If you're worried the concept sounds too ridiculous, you probably needn't be. If this film's anything like the tone of Koontz' previous Shudder offering, Scare Package , then it's unlikely to take itself too seriously and should hopefully be a lot of fun. Read more...
