Maya Rudolph is finally set to host 'SNL' again after her *many* Kamala Harris cameos

You'd be forgiven for thinking Maya Rudolph has hosted Saturday Night Live in recent years. As the show's go-to Kamala Harris impersonator, she's put in more appearances than some of the show's own featured players. But alas, Rudolph hasn't graced the SNL set as host since way back in 2012. That's all going to change on March 27, when Rudolph returns to host with musical guest Jack Harlow. The show confirmed the upcoming lineup on Twitter as Saturday's latest episode aired. See you in March! pic.twitter.com/tk3LItC0az — Saturday Night Live - SNL (@nbcsnl) February 28, 2021 The tweet doesn't explicitly spell it out, but the Feb. 27 episode featuring Nick Jonas (as well as a scathing takedown of one of the GOP's more problematic politicians not named Trump) marks the start of a month-long break for the weekly sketch comedy series. The Bachelor Taps Emmanuel Acho to Replace Chris Harrison For After the Final Rose Special

Image Source: Chris Pavlica / ABC It's official, The Bachelor has found its host for the "After the Final Rose" special. Tho9ugh fans speculated that Rachel Lindsay would take on the role since she has an extensive history of hosting, the job has gone to former NFL player Emmanuel Acho, another public figure well-known for his hosting chops. Acho dropped the news himself, writing out an announcement on his Instagram page on Feb. 27. "I've accepted the Rose and am honored to be hosting the @bachelorabc After the Final Rose this year," he captioned the photo. "It's been a pivotal season, and this episode will hopefully be one of the most storied shows in TV history. Empathy is needed and change is coming. Share the news! I'll see y'all then! 🌹 ❤️" Acho is taking the reigns from The Bachelor 's Chris Harrison after the 49-year-old announced he was temporarily stepping down from his hosting duties . Kevin Jonas Crashed Nick's SNL Monologue to Finally Get an Answer: "Are We Still a Band?"

Nick Jonas made his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on Feb. 27 with a little help from older brother Kevin Jonas. I wondered if the Jonas family would make a cameo for the big day - turns out, Kevin stepped forward to support Nick and ask the question that's on all of our minds: "Are we still a band?" Kevin's concern is all jokes for the show, but fans were genuinely confused when Nick dropped a single and announced a new solo album last week. The last time something like this happened, we didn't hear from the Jonas Brothers for years. Well, Nick reassured Kevin that the band is definitely still in business . "Are you sure?" Kevin questioned further. "'Cause I just bought a house." Watch Nick's full monologue, including the funny family cameo, above. https://ift.tt/3b26KJC

SNL Finally Said What We All Think About Bachelor Parties, and They Made It Into a Song

It feels like Saturday Night Live is upping the number of musical sketches each episode, and we wholeheartedly approve! During Nick Jonas's Feb. 27 hosting debut , the "Spaceman" singer joined several SNL cast members for a pretaped skit that brought the hard reality of bachelor parties to the spotlight. Jonas plays the best man of Beck Bennett and the host extraordinaire, who hired two exotic dancers (Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner) to perform at the bachelor party. The women introduce their bit but are immediately interrupted as the men break out into song one by one, singing about upholding the long tradition of getting "boners" while with their friends. "I'm going to marry the woman that I love, but first a tradition long spoken of," Bennett croons to the audience. "I've waited for this moment all of my life, to get hard with my friends before I marry my wife." "I love getting hard with my homies, boned up next to my pa

Weekend Update torches the hateful idiocy of Marjorie Taylor Greene on 'SNL'

Saturday Night Live is here to remind us all that Marjorie Taylor Greene exists. She's an actual elected official who ostensibly represents the interests of her Georgia district in the U.S. House of Representative, but who seems to spend more of her time focused on drumming up dangerous conspiracies and culture war fights , and personally harassing her would-be colleagues in the Capitol. She's not a nice lady. Cecily Strong channels that toxic personality well in her Weekend Update appearance here. It's funny because it's true. (But also it's not funny, and kind of stunning that tens of thousands of people would vote for someone who has no apparent interest in legislating.) Read more...
