'Halloween Ends' trailer sees Jamie Lee Curtis ready to shut this guy down once and for all

Laurie Strode has been fighting the same Haddonfield monster since 1978, when Michael Myers first barged his way into a closet and into horror history with the first Halloween . And now, the saga is ending (probably) after 45 years, with Jamie Lee Curtis returning to her iconic role to take on the masked murderer one last time. In last film of the relaunched franchise following 2018's Halloween and Halloween Kills , the David Gordon Green-directed Halloween Ends promises to do exactly that in the latest trailer : pit Laurie and Michael against each other for the ultimate showdown. Set four years since the events of the last film, this time Laurie is writing her memoir while living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and seemingly free from her tormentor. But when a babysitter, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell) is accused of murder, a series of violent events can only mean one thing. Halloween Ends arrives in cinemas and is streaming on Peacock Oct. 14.

Nick Kroll Jokingly Says He Told Harry Styles to "Spit on Chris Pine": "He Was Like, 'Got It'"

Image Source: NBC Less than a week after Olivia Wilde cleared up the drama surrounding Harry Styles , Chris Pine, and their alleged viral spitting incident at this year's Venice Film Festival , " Don't Worry Darling " actor/comedian Nick Kroll has hilariously taken all the credit for it. Earlier this month, the movie's cast reunited in Italy at the annual movie event to promote their new thriller, which premiered on Sept. 23, but things weren't exactly smooth sailing there. On Sept. 5, a video went viral online in which some say it looked like Styles spit on his costar at a film screening. One Twitter user fueled the speculation with a slo-mo GIF from the video in a tweet that reads, "He 100% spit on Chris Pine." Others chimed in with their own interpretations of what they think took place - including a tweet that noted Pine might've just been looking for his sunglasses after a round of applause - but Wilde denies that anything repugnant

Marvel Reveals Why Recasting Chadwick Boseman in the "Black Panther" Sequel Wasn't an Option

Chadwick Boseman originated the role of " Black Panther "'s T'Challa in 2016's "Captain America: Civil War," before going on to star in his own stand-alone film in 2018, and a couple of Avengers movies after that. His run as the fan-favorite Marvel superhero was tragically cut short, however, when he died in 2020 from colon cancer . So, when the " Black Panther " sequel "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" premieres later this year, the absence of its original star will no doubt be felt by fans worldwide. Now, Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige is opening up about why the creators behind the "Back Panther" franchise decided against recasting Boseman's role. While plenty of movies have recast major characters and gone on to have successful runs (like when Ed Norton was replaced in the role of the Hulk by Mark Ruffalo ), replacing Boseman was never on the table when it came to making "Black Panther: Wakanda Fore

Here's Who Was Sent Home on "Dancing With the Stars" Night Two

" Dancing With the Stars " made its debut on Disney+ on Sept. 19, with stars like Jordin Sparks, Charli D'Amelio , and Shangela hitting the ballroom with their pro partners. After night one, some clear front-runners appeared, including Charli, whose mother Heidi is also competing. Charli performed a cha-cha with partner Mark Ballas to a remix of Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage," earning the night's top score of 32/40 points. On the bottom of the leaderboard was actor Jason Lewis and pro partner Peta Murgatroyd, who performed a cha-cha but failed to impress, scoring 18/40 and getting sent home. With week two's "Elvis Night" theme, Charli again was a top performer, this time with a quickstep to "Bossa Nova Baby," which earned the teen and Ballas a 32/40. Fellow 32/40 scorers were Wayne Brady and Witney Carson, who did a jive to "Burning Love," and Gabby Windey, who performed a Viennese waltz with Val Chmerkovskiy to "
