The First Official Trailer For HBO's Euphoria Hints at a Deeply Emotional High School Journey

We're finally getting a good look at HBO's new teenage drama series Euphoria, and it looks exhilarating. The new trailer was released on May 11 and gives a glimpse at several teens doing what they do best: living the lives of the recklessly young. Similar to Netflix's 13 Reasons Why, the series follows a group of high school students as they navigate their way through drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship.

Based on the Israeli series of the same name, the show's ensemble cast boasts several familiar names, including actress and singer Zendaya, The Kissing Booth's Jacob Elordi, model and LGBTQ+ rights activist Hunter Schafer, and A Wrinkle in Time's Storm Reid. HBO officially picked up the series back in July, along with nabbing The Wizard of Lies' Sam Levinson to write all 10 episodes and adding the creators of the original Israeli series and Drake as executive producers! Check out the teaser above, and get ready - Euphoria begins its eight-episode season on Sunday, June 16.
