Iman Shumpert's Us-Inspired Number Is 1 of the Best DWTS Performances I've Seen in a Long Time

Dancing With the Stars contestants brought the thrills for horror night on Monday, but Iman Shumpert really went above and beyond. In honor of Jordan Peele's hit 2019 film Us, the basketball player and his partner Daniella Karagach dressed up as the Tethered as they did a contemporary dance to "I Got 5 On It (Tethered Mix from US)" by Luniz ft. Michael Marshall. Not only did they completely nail the spooky characters, but their dance moves were on another level. Seriously, can we talk about those lifts? The performance even earned them their first perfect score, but I would go as far as to say it's one of the best performances on the show ever.

While we've been cheering Shumpert on this season, his wife Teyana Taylor is equally excited about his stint on the show. During an interview with Hollywood Life, the singer joked that she's not surprised by Shumpert's success "because he's always crashing [her] rehearsals." LOL! "He's been on about 15 tours with me. He's my DJ, he's my backup dancer behind closed doors, you know? I think something like this was only right to happen. I'm super excited." Shumpert even told Insider that he's been getting "a lot of pointers" from his wife. "What she does is, she is able to look at something, mimic it, become it, and then add flair to it. So I am kind of being coached." Clearly all that extra rehearsal is paying off! Watch Shumpert's incredible performance above.
