The Mysterious First Teaser For the Dexter Revival Has Us Ready For Fall

Michael C. Hall signed on for a revival of his most infamous role as Dexter Morgan for a limited series , and fans are rejoicing. The reboot will be on Showtime with a total of 10 episodes, and the show creators have already talked about making amends for the pitfalls of the series finale . But what we really want to know about the blood splatter analyst by day and a vigilante-style serial killer by night is: when will the series be available? Happily, the series is set to release in fall of 2021 . On April 29, Showtime teased the upcoming project with a mysterious teaser titled "Misunderstood" which features Hall's Dexter in a cabin in the woods and giving a sly smile to the camera. Oh yeah, and there's someone wrapped up in plastic in the background. The original series ran from 2006 to 2013 for a total of eight seasons. While the showrunners remain elusive about the content and plot of the limited series, they claim that it will not just pick back up where the

Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem Get Into Character on Set of Being the Ricardos Film

Filming for Being the Ricardos is currently underway, and we've already gotten a few glimpses of Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem as Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. On Tuesday, the stars were spotted on the set of Aaron Sorkin's upcoming film. Kidman certainly channeled the I Love Lucy actress with a bright red wig and pencil-thin eyebrows, while Bardem looked sharp in a black and white tux. The upcoming biopic will tell the story of Lucille Ball and her husband, Desi Arnaz as they filmed their hit 1951 sitcom I Love Lucy . Though Kidman's casting was initially met with skepticism from fans, Ball and Arnaz's daughter, Lucie Arnaz, eventually gave the casting her seal of approval . "Nobody has to impersonate Lucy Ricardo nor do the Vitameatavegamin routine, or . . . any of the silly things. It's the story of Lucille Ball, my actual mother, not Lucy Ricardo, and her husband, Desi Arnaz, my dad, not Ricky Ricardo," she noted. "Aaron has done a wonder

The HSMTMTS Season 2 Soundtrack Has an Adorable Joshua Bassett and Olivia Rodrigo Duet

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season two hasn't even been released yet, and I'm already obsessed with the soundtrack. If you thought the Disney+ series couldn't possibly top the first season, think again. While season one included bops like "All I Want" by Olivia Rodrigo and covers of our favorite High School Musical songs , the second season is going above and beyond. Seeing that the students of East High are putting on a production of Beauty and the Beast , we'll likely get performances of iconic songs from the Disney film, but there are also a few original tracks in store. We got a glimpse of the opening number, "Something in the Air," during the holiday special, and now we have a sneak peek of an adorable duet between Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett's characters, Nini and Ricky. Plus, the singer-songwriters wrote even more new tracks for the show this season. An acoustic version of Bassett's "The Perfect Gift" w

We just got our first look at new 'Dexter' and he ain't chopping trees

In the words of the late, great Krombopulos Michael : "Oh boy, here I go killing again!"  Ahead of Dexter 's limited series return , slated for later in 2021, Showtime dropped a teaser for lead Michael C. Hall's updated take on the iconic serial killer. It's a meager 30-second snippet, but tells longtime fans of the dark comedy-drama some vital information about the homecoming. First, Dexter finally shaved that awful beard. And, oh yeah, he's killing again.  At the end of Season 8, which if you can believe it aired almost 8 years ago, Dexter moved to the woods to be a poorly-groomed lumberjack and wistfully remember his horrible crimes. But based on the saran-wrapped body in the background of this teaser, that plan didn't stick.  Read more... Get ready because Netflix is diving horns first into the world of DC Comics.  On Thursday, the streaming giant dropped its first teaser for Sweet Tooth — an eight-part adventure series that aims to combine the best of the fairytale and sci-fi genres .  Based on the beloved comic written and drawn by Jeff Lemire (40 issues of which were produced between 2009 and 2013), Sweet Tooth takes place in post-apocalyptic world that's full of strange and beautiful — but still dangerous — natural wonders.
