Most people know Ariana Grande as one of the world's biggest pop stars, but we remember when the Thank U, Next singer burst onto the scene as the sweet, yet gullible Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious. On March 27, the former actress paid tribute to her TV beginnings with an Instagram post celebrating the show's tenth anniversary. The post was inspired by former cast member Daniella Monet, who posted her own tribute to the TV show with a sweet behind-the-scenes photo of the cast.
"ten years of victorious 🤍 daniella's post got me all in my feels now so i'm sorry for the mushiness but.... jus want to say how grateful i will always be for being on this show and for those years of my life," Grande captioned her post. "i couldn't have spent my teenage years with a better, more funny, talented group of human beings."
The singer noted that she loved playing Cat on the series, even though people still believe she speaks like the red-headed high schooler and that "her essence will lovingly haunt me til i die." She went on to share some of the memories she misses from working with the cast and crew of the show, saying, "I miss getting in trouble w my friends the school room and trying not to laugh when we weren't supposed to on set. i even miss waking up with red hair dye stained pillows. thank u @danwarp and to my cast mates for some of the most special years of my life and for bringing all of us into each other's lives. happy anniversary!"
We love a walk down memory lane! Read Grande's full post on Instagram, and then, check out the sweet Victorious reunion she hosted during her Sweetener tour back in November.
