Vanessa Hudgens is a golden girl in wearing leggy metallic gown to Vanity Fair Oscar Party with beau Austin Butler

Vanessa Hudgens flashed her enviably svelte legs through a shimmering gold split gown at Sunday's Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Vanity Fair threw the star-studded fete at the Wallis Annenberg Center For The Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. 

The  actress posed up a storm for the shutterbugs on the arm of her  boyfriend, Switched At Birth actor Austin Butler.

Vanessa swept her dark hair back behind her head, posing with a hand at her hips so that her dress draped advantageously over her trim figure. 

Accentuating her features with BUXOM Cosmetics, the High School Musical star balanced on a pair of ankle-strap heels that showed off her black nail polish.

Meanwhile, Austin went for classic chic with a three-piece black suit and matching bow-tie, adding a modern touch with a glistening chain. 

The Oscars were an evening of upsets, with Olivia Colman of The Favourite scooping up best actress and Green Book taking home the best picture gong.

Vanessa recently starred in Fox' televised production of Rent, the Jonathan Larson rock musical based on La Boheme that opened on Broadway in 1996. She got a rave review on Twitter from Idina Menzel, who originated Vanessa's role Maureen in the original Broadway cast and reprised the role in the flop 2005 film. 

Idina took the stage at the end of the Fox production with several of her old original Broadway castmates, including her ex-husband Taye Diggs.
