The first trailer for the romance film I Still Believe is here, and you might want to grab some tissues before you watch. Starring Riverdale's KJ Apa as real-life Christian rocker Jeremy Camp, the movie follows Camp's love story with the late Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp, played by For the People's Britt Robertson. Despite reservations from Camp's family, the two fall in love and get married during Henning-Camp's battle with ovarian cancer - a battle that continues to test the couple's faith.
In a particularly emotional scene that will definitely get your tear ducts stinging, Jeremy tells Melissa that he will always be by her side, saying, "I want you to know, that whatever this is, and wherever it takes us that I'm with you. Every step, every moment, I'm with you. I'm in. I'm so in." So yes, if you're getting A Walk to Remember vibes, you're definitely in the right place.
Apa will lend his vocals to the film and perform several of Camp's songs, including the titular hit "I Still Believe," which the musician wrote after Henning-Camp died in 2001. The movie also stars Melissa Roxburgh, Gary Sinise, and country crooner Shania Twain. (Yes! Shania Twain!) Watch the trailer above and catch I Still Believe in theaters on March 20, 2020.
