DaBaby and Roddy Ricch continued the trend of speaking out against racist police brutality during the 2020 BET Awards with their chilling "Rockstar" performance. DaBaby opened the virtual performance with his face against the pavement and a police officer's knee on his neck, a heartbreaking call-out to the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. As the camera slowly pans up, DaBaby raps along to the song's "Black Lives Matter Remix" that tells the story of his encounters with police brutality and racial profiling, before the video cuts to the clouds. DaBaby and Roddy Ricch bring viewers back to Earth as they rap next to a burning cop car while surrounded by protesters wearing masks and shirts reading "I am George Floyd," "I am Trayvon Martin," and "I am Breonna Taylor." As the video comes to a close, the end card reads: "In loving memory to all the lives lost to racism and police brutality." Watch the video above.
