Wait, That Iconic Dance Scene From The Kissing Booth 2 Wasn't Actually Filmed in an Arcade?!

Whether you're into Marco and Elle or you're Team Noah all the way , you have to admit Elle and Marco's epic routine during that big Dance Dance Revolution contest is a standout scene from The Kissing Booth 2 . Their smooth dance moves combined with their intense chemistry definitely had me pressing rewind more than once, and luckily, Joey King just posted a full version of the epic moment on her IGTV on Friday. Fans were not only shook that the iconic DDR scene was shot in front of a green screen and not an arcade like they'd imagined, but they were also excited to relive the adorable moment in a stripped-down setting. I mean, who would say no to more Elle and Marco? "This is the full version that we shot of the final arcade scene with Marco and Elle," King wrote in the caption. "We danced the entire day which was killer on my shin splints but my dance partner made it all worth it. This was a really exhausting day but more fun than anything else. I m...

Netflix Has to Give Us Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy After Leaving Us With That Cliffhanger

The second installment of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy premiered on July 31, and we have a million questions. The new season picks up after the ominous season-one finale in which a Vanya-induced apocalypse in 2019 forced the family of superpowered siblings to tap into Number Five's ability to jump through time and space. Though Five does save his family from that year's impending doom, he flubs the time travel, and they all land in Dallas, TX, separated throughout three years starting in 1960. When he lands in 1963, he sets out to reunite with his siblings - but things are never that easy with the Hargreeves, are they? Five finds himself in the middle of a nuclear doomsday that his siblings are unsurprisingly at the center of. He learns that they brought the end of the world with them from 2019, and now he has to find a way to bring everyone back together, save the world (again!), return to their original time, and keep from destroying the world. But it takes more th...

In order to tell the story of a young king's journey to reclaim his throne in Black Is King , which dropped on Disney+ on July 31 and serves as a visual companion to The Lion King: The Gift , Beyoncé took things to a global level . Black Is King was filmed in the US, the UK, Belgium, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa, with Vogue noting that Beyoncé " partnered with talent in each destination ." Ghanaian-American creative Joshua Kissi, who contributed to and directed the Ghana portion of the film, tweeted that "there was nothing like contributing to this vision through narratives on the ground in my home country." He went on to add, "This wouldn't be possible without my on the ground Ghana team!" Nigerian creative director Ibra Ake thanked the Nigerian crew for their work before joking on Instagram that "usually there's more jokes about sincere accomplishments but I'm afraid of the hive so on my best behavior." In June, Beyo...

Emmy Raver-Lampman Explains How Allison Hargreeves Learned to Love Herself in the Segregated South

From the first episode of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy , I knew Allison Hargreeves would be my favorite superpowered sibling. She's the perfect combination of effortlessly cool and hauntingly vulnerable. She has enormous power - being able to bend reality to her whim with a simple phrase - but the ease in which she abuses it scares her. Unlike her graphic novel counterpart, she's compassionate and kindhearted, which makes her infinitely more likable. That dynamic shift is mostly thanks to Allison's portrayal by Emmy Raver-Lampman, the actress who manages to make me love the flawed yet compelling Number Three. The Allison I fell in love with in season one is notably different from the one we meet with in season two, a difference that Raver-Lampman credits to Allison's adventures while reuniting with her siblings and the circumstances she finds herself in when they get separated after Number Five uses his powers to save his family from the Vanya-induced apocalyp...

Today's dose of early 2000s nostalgia is brought to you by Andie Anderson and Ben Barry - er, Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey - so strap in and get ready for a hilarious walk down memory lane. The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days costars just shared an Instagram exchange that has fans of the romantic comedy ready to frost themselves. On June 27, which just so happens to be Take Your Houseplant For a Walk Day, Hudson decided to celebrate the little-known holiday by referencing her character's infamous "love fern." The actress shared a clip from the movie scene in which Ben suggests he and Andie go to couples therapy after she storms out of his poker night get-together with her precious, limp love fern in hand. (You can watch it above to refresh your memory.) Hudson captioned the snippet on Instagram: "Heard it was #TakeYourPlantForAWalkDay So, clearly I thought of one of my favorite co-stars... #TheLoveFern 🌿" In no time, McConaughey chimed in by c...

90+ Books to Read Before They're Films

There's a special thrill that comes from reading books before they're made into motion pictures, and if you're like us, you especially love comparing a novel to its movie counterpart. That's why we've compiled over 95 titles that are soon to be films, such as Frank Herbert's Dune - which will star Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, and more in the film adaptation - and Mark Greaney's The Gray Man - which will star Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling . And, of course, we're including the highly anticipated film versions of A.J. Finn's The Woman in the Window and Anna Todd's After We Collided . The Umbrella Academy: There's Something Out of This World About Sir Reginald Hargreeves

There's quite a bit of mystery surrounding Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore), aka The Monocle, on Netflix's The Umbrella Academy . We know that he's the adoptive father of superpowered siblings Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (David Castañeda), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) , Klaus (Robert Sheehan) , Number Five (Aidan Gallagher), Ben (Justin H. Min), and Vanya (Ellen Page) . We also know that he's not the warmest or most compassionate parental figure. But much of his apathy likely has to do with the fact that he's not actually human, which the show has only moderately addressed throughout its 20 episodes. The season one finale alludes to Reginald's unearthly origins as it shows him bidding farewell to a sick woman, presumably his lover, on a foreign planet that seems to be in danger. After the woman encourages Reginald to leave and they share a heartbreaking goodbye, the future Umbrella Academy proprietor releases glowing orbs into the air before arriving to E...

I Know The Kissing Booth 3 Already Filmed, but Here Are 13 Scenarios I Hope to See On Screen

Grab your chapstick, folks: The Kissing Booth 3 is ready to hit your screens! Well, it'll be ready to hit your screens when it premieres in 2021 , but the good news is that the cast and crew have already filmed it . So, all we have to do now is wait for Netflix to drop that premiere date! But until then, we have all the time in the world to think about all the deliciously ridiculous things we hope will come with the third (and possibly final) installment in the Kissing Booth saga. Thanks to a sneak peek released by the streamer , we already know that the third film will pick up right after The Kissing Booth 2 , starting us off during the summer before Elle (Joey King) heads to college. Elle still hasn't decided where she wants to go for college and hasn't told anyone about having been accepted to both Harvard and Berkeley. The big questions are, what college will she choose and where will our favorite characters wind up when it all comes to an end? It's all so dram...

The Umbrella Academy's Robert Sheehan Reveals What It Was Like to Revisit Klaus's Lost Love

Image Source: Netflix It didn't take long for Klaus Hargreeves to become a fan favorite on The Umbrella Academy , thanks mostly in part to Robert Sheehan . The 32-year-old actor is not only witty (a trait he shares with Klaus) but effortlessly charming . He's also not a stranger to the supernatural, at least when a script is involved. Besides Klaus, his most well-known character is the immortal Nathan Young from the British TV show Misfits . In a recent interview with POPSUGAR, Sheehan discussed what it's like to be a fan favorite, how Klaus's love for Dave transcends time, and what it was like to act as someone else. In season one of The Umbrella Academy , Klaus gets a hold of a time-traveling briefcase and finds himself a part of the Vietnam War in 1968. It's here that he falls in love with a fellow soldier named Dave. However, Dave ends up dying during a battle in 1969, causing Klaus to leave his unit and travel back to the future. Although Klaus makes it ba...

Hot Take: Chessy Is the True Hero of The Parent Trap

The Parent Trap is just one of those movies: a feel-good, nostalgic film that reminds you of all the things you started doing because of it (using a candy wrapper as static to hang up the phone, eating Oreos with peanut butter, searching for your twin at summer camp , the usual). With the recent cast reunion (22 years later!), I couldn't help but rewatch the 1998 classic. The cast is truly remarkable , but I have a hot take when it comes to the characters: Chessy is the real hero of The Parent Trap . Played by Lisa Ann Walter, who said during the reunion that she felt the part was "written for her," Chessy is the heart of the film. Even though she doesn't make her first fabulous appearance until 49 minutes into the movie, you can't help but also feel so loved as she comes screaming out of the Parker California vineyard saying, "Hello, gorgeous!" and hugging Hallie like a daughter. She encourages her adventures and automatically offers up cornbread a...

The Umbrella Academy's Season 2 Soundtrack Is a Musical Time Machine, So Hop In and Jam Out

Season two of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy focuses heavily on time travel as the Hargreeves children fight to save the world in 1963. So it's only right that the soundtrack is a musical time machine that blasts us into a past full of nostalgic jams. The collection of episodes spotlights classic artists such as Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke, and Kiss, as well as contemporary virtuosos, including the Backstreet Boys and Gnarls Barkley. There are also gorgeous covers of modern songs, including Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" and Adele's "Hello." Oh, and of course musician Gerard Way, who wrote the show's source material, has a featured track . Now, bust out the record player and blast these tunes from The Umbrella Academy 's second installment! David, Patrick, and Ronnie From Schitt's Creek Virtually Reunited to Accept a GLAAD Award

It's been one heck of a week for the Schitt's Creek cast ! Just two days after the Canadian sitcom nabbed a casual 15 Emmy nominations , it won the GLAAD Media Award for outstanding comedy series. Three stars from the show - Dan Levy (David Rose), Noah Reid (Patrick Brewer), and Karen Robinson (Ronnie Lee) - virtually reunited from their own separate homes to accept the honor, and it made us feel like we were right back in a booth at Café Tropical. Levy kicked things off by expressing his gratitude for the award - and cracking some jokes, of course. "Thank you to all the other shows in our category for being incredible and for helping to move the dial when it comes to queer representation on television," he said. "I would say that we'd all split this award equally, but this is the last season of our show, so I'm just gonna take it, 'cause who knows when I'll win another one of these." Next up, Robinson popped in with her own message of th...

Not Only Are the Teenage Bounty Hunters "Twins" Not Related, There's a Huge Age Gap

Netflix's upcoming comedy Teenage Bounty Hunters centers on a pair of twins, Sterling and Blair, who team up with an established bounty hunter to track down bad guys and collect the rewards. So are the actresses actually twins in real life, or is this just a case of really good casting? Although they certainly look like they could be twins in real life, actresses Maddie Phillips and Anjelica Bette Fellini aren't even related at all, and on top of that, there's a surprisingly big age gap between them too. Phillips is 25 years old and Fellini is a full decade younger at age 15! It's rare to have actual teenagers playing teenage characters, so Fellini is one of very few who manage it - especially playing opposite an older co-star. The age gap also means that Phillips and Fellini's resumes are somewhat different so far. For Fellini, she's still very much a newcomer to the business. Her most recognizable role so far has been on the superhero drama The Gifted , ...

Billie Eilish Transforms Stormy Weather Into Sunshine in Her "My Future" Music Video

Take a deep breath and relax because Billie Eilish released the music video for her new song "My Future," and the moody artwork is a whole new kind of soothing. The video - which premiered on Eilish's YouTube channel on July 30 - shows her walking through a rainy animated world as she contemplates her life and plans for the future. The sunshine glittering through the trees is reminiscent of the most beautifully drawn cartoons, creating a nice parallel between Eilish's amazing singing voice and the stunning artwork. As Eilish's animated self strolls through the forest and lounges under the star-speckled night sky, flowers begin to grow and the branches of trees move like vines to lift her up towards the sun, reflecting the underlying message of hope in her calming lyrics. Watch the full video and listen to Eilish's peaceful new song here. https://ift.tt/3gadNjr

Guess Who's Joining the Station 19 Cast as a Series Regular in Season 4

Although we don't know much about when Station 19 will return, we do know one thing: when it does, it'll have a new series regular! The cast for season four will include the promotion of a recurring fave to series regular. As announced in The Hollywood Reporter , Stefania Spampinato will be upgraded to a series regular , after playing Dr. Carina DeLuca on a recurring basis on both Station 19 and its flagship show Grey's Anatomy . The cast went through a few changes last year, as well, so we've put together a quick guide to who you can expect to see when the show does return. When will that be? We're not totally sure, since production has still not been cleared to resume safely . That being said, Station 19 is listed as part of ABC's "fall" lineup, taking the Thursdays at 8 p.m. time slot, so we can assume it's one of the shows whose return to production will be prioritized when it's safe. Until then, take a look at which characters will ...
