Drew Barrymore has been shining on the silver screen since she was 5 years old. So, in honor of her upcoming talk show premiere, the Santa Clarita Diet star decided to take a walk down memory lane and interview her supercute 7-year-old self. "As I continue to practice interviewing others, I couldn't help but look back at myself at age 7 in the hot seat on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson! Wow! It was 1982!" Barrymore captioned her Instagram post featuring the promo video for Here's Drew! The Drew Barrymore Show.
The nostalgic interview shows Barrymore bonding with her past self over their scream-inducing excitement for the upcoming show, but she isn't the only Barrymore who shared in the celebratory moment. "PS . . . shooting this clip was so fun and a little emotional as my own 7 year old daughter [sic] Olive sat in as my 7 year old [sic] self. So, I am actually speaking to her too," she added. "I cannot wait to share this show with you. It is so personal to me and I'm grateful and proud of the journey it took us all to get this made!"
In addition to her new hour-long talk show, Barrymore will host a series of digital shows on YouTube, including The Making of The Drew Barrymore Show, The Art of the Interview, and Drew's Cookbook Club. As we patiently await the premiere of Here's Drew! The Drew Barrymore Show on Sept. 14, please enjoy this adorable interview.
