Taylor Swift and Harry Styles's Moody Music Mashup Is Casually Playing With My Emotions

What do you call it when two emotional songs happen to fit perfectly together? Fate or destiny? Maybe. I like to call it a Taylor Swift/Harry Styles mashup. Days after Swift dropped her surprise album Folklore on July 24, fans were already eagerly reading between the lines and creating remixes of their own. Her lead single "Cardigan" just so happens to fit pretty perfectly with Styles's song "Falling" from his Fine Line album. Who would've thought?

Ever since Swift and Styles dated from 2012 to 2013, their short-lived romance (and breakup) has been the subject of speculation and songwriting on their parts. It's rumored that Swift wrote "Out of the Woods" and "Style" about the former One Direction bandmate, while he supposedly recorded "Two Ghosts" with her in mind.

Although there's no indication that their recent songs are about each other, that certainly didn't stop YouTuber Cosmic Mashups from remixing their songs to create one brooding piano ballad with their music videos as a backdrop. We have to admit, they do look pretty similar! Coincidence or not, give the track a listen above and prepare to dive straight into your feels.
