Just when you thought it was safe to watch the Oscars with your parents.
The 93rd Academy Awards are currently underway, honoring the films that helped keep us from completely breaking down during the past year of racist pandemic hell. Among the winners was Judas and the Black Messiah actor Daniel Kaluuya, who won Best Supporting Actor for his role as Black Panther Party member Fred Hampton — his first Oscar win.
It was a big moment for Kaluuya, who thanked God, his friends, his family, and his co-workers in his four-minute acceptance speech. However the actor seemed to get a little carried away by his Oscar high toward the end, excited and thankful for everything that lead him to this moment — even down to the advent of his birth.
