All the Stars We've Lost in 2022

We're paying our respects to all the prolific musicians, actors, comedians, and cultural icons who died in 2022. The death of the UK's longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, at 96 rocked the world in early September, followed by the shocking losses of PnB Rock and Jesse Powell. The month prior, in August, we lost "Beverly Hills, 90210" star Joe E. Tata, as well as "Insecure" star Denise Dowse, sports broadcasting icon Vin Scully, "Magnum P.I." actor Roger E. Mosley, and folk singer Judith Durham. In July, groundbreaking "Star Trek" star Nichelle Nichols, "The Little Mermaid" voice actor Pat Carroll, "Bust Down" star Jak Knight, "The Godfather" actor James Caan, and William "Poogie" Hart of The Delfonics all died.

We also lost Hollywood icon Sidney Poitier, Miss USA 2019 winner Cheslie Kryst, "Bat Out of Hell" rocker Meat Loaf, funk pioneer Betty Davis, and "Full House" comedian Bob Saget. They all made lasting marks on their respective industries. Ahead, we pay homage to all the celebrities we've lost in 2022.
