Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts put their sweet romance on full display at this year's American Music Awards. The pair, who tied the knot in August 2020, walked the red carpet on Nov. 20 looking happy and in love as they showed off some cute PDA. In between posing for photos - Nash in a black fitted floor-length gown and Betts wearing a green suit with red, yellow, and black accents - the two stole a few kisses as they made their way inside the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Nash and Betts previously made a show of their appearance at the 2022 Oscars in March and shared some loving moments on the red carpet, but that's not the only place their PDA lives. The two frequently post about their relationship on Instagram, too. On Aug. 29, Nash shared a sweet tribute to her wife in honor of their second wedding anniversary. "@jessicabettsmusic I would say yes all over again ❤️💍💫 8/29," she captioned a video of their nuptials, adding in another post, "The picture that BROKE the internet but SECURED my heart ♥️ #MrsCoraBettsForever 💍 8/29/20."
The pair made headlines in February as the first same-sex couple to grace the cover of Essence magazine. In regards to their viral wedding photo, Nash told the publication, "A lot of people thought it was like a movie or some promo." She added: "They started calling everybody, and we were like, 'This is insane.' I never knew why where you lay your head is such a big deal to other people. I was like, 'People care?'"
Of Nash and Betts's social media PDA, the latter added that they simply want to let people know how madly in love they are. "Agendas feel very forced," Betts said. "If there's an agenda, it's that we're going to spread queer joy. The world needs it. Real talk."
