Lizzo Shares Coachella Selfie With Harry Styles

Lizzo and Harry Styles reunited at Coachella, and it was good as hell. After joining Styles on stage during Coachella's second weekend to cover Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" and One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful," Lizzo posted a selfie with the former One Direction star on Instagram. The blurry photo is nothing short of exuberant, and it shows off just how well these longtime friends vibe together. "Proud of you @harrystyles. Thank u for having me," she captioned the joyful photo.

Prior to the "Juice" singer joining Styles for his latest Coachella set, Lizzo hinted festival attendees were in for a surprise with an Instagram post on Friday that teased her arrival at the festival. The flutist missed out on the first weekend because she was busy hosting "Saturday Night Live," but she made up for it with her appearance during Styles's set.

Even before Lizzo surprised the audience, Styles promised festivalgoers they were in for a fun night. "Good evening, Coachella! I hope you've had a nice time so far this wonderful Friday," he said at the start of his set. "My name is Harry, and it's an absolute pleasure. Please feel free to be whoever it is you want to be on this field tonight, and I challenge you to have as much fun as I'm going to have."

This isn't the first time Styles and Lizzo have performed together. In January 2020, the singers turned "Juice" into a duet at Lizzo's SiriusXM Super Bowl concert. Since then, they've frequently snapped photos together at award shows, and they've both covered each other's songs during BBC1 Sessions. When Styles first covered "Juice" during his 2019 BBC1 Session, he said of his pal, "She's one of the most exciting artists working now for sure. She's exactly what you want an artist to be, which is themselves."

While Lizzo isn't scheduled to perform her own set at Coachella 2022, her surprise appearance with Styles is more than enough to keep fans talking as they wait for the July 15 release of her fourth studio album, "Special." The 33-year-old performed two songs from her album during her recent episode of "SNL," but most of the tracks are still a mystery. For now, fans will have to make do with the first two singles - "About Damn Time" and "Special" - and Lizzo's exuberant Coachella guest appearance alongside her friend Styles.
