From "how rude" to "I do," "Full House" star Jodie Sweetin - who will perhaps forever be best known as Stephanie Tanner to her fans - tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Mescal Wasilewski in an intimate backyard ceremony on July 30, as reported by People. The couple exchanged their "I dos" in front of their family and friends at a private home in Malibu. Sweetin was escorted down the aisle by her father, Sam, and her two daughters Zoie, 14, and Beatrix, 11, stood beside their mom while she exchanged vows with Wasilewski.
In addition to her real life family, several members of Sweetin's TV family were in attendance, too. Per People, "Full House" stars John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, and Andrea Barber were among the 50 guests who attended the wedding. For Sweetin, nothing was more important than keeping things casual and being surrounded by the people who she loves the most.
"I didn't want it to be fussy," Sweetin told the publication of her reception. "The look is very organic and natural. It's just about good food and good friends - and twinkle lights!"
Sweetin and Wasilewski first began dating in 2017. At the start, the couple was long-distance, then in 2020, Wasilewski (who is a social worker), moved from New York to Los Angeles to be closer to Sweetin. The couple officially got engaged in January. At the time, Sweetin shared a sweet photo of her and her fiancé showing off her ring alongside a Maya Angelou quote and caption expressing her excitement for their shared future on Instagram.
"I love you Mescal, for always. You're my person. I can't wait to see the life that lies ahead for us," she wrote. "Here's to us, @ghostfacelito and our life of adventures. Together. I think I'm really gonna like turning 40 ❤️❤️❤️đź’Ť."
It seems Sweetin was right about 40 being her year. She told People, "Mescal makes me feel absolutely comfortable and secure to shine as bright as I need to. He steps up and shows up for my girls. And we harmonize so well. He's really the best teammate I could ask for."
Team Sweetin sounds like it has gained a special member in Wasilewski - best wishes to the happy couple!
