Conspiracy theories can already be terrifying enough in their own right, so it makes sense that they'd be a fitting subject for a horror movie.
The Scary of Sixty-First sees two young women moving into a Manhattan apartment in order to investigate the "paedophilic corruption" of a QAnon style conspiracy, only to find their realities becoming increasingly blurred around the edges.
Seems like this one will very much be a horror movie for our disturbing times.
