We Can Expect a New Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift Collab Very Soon

During the 2022 Brit Awards on Feb. 8, Ed Sheeran announced that he's releasing a new song with old pal Taylor Swift that'll drop this Friday. The four-time Grammy-winning artist made it official the next day when he tweeted the exciting news. "The Joker And The Queen featuring my good friend @taylorswift13 is out this Friday," he wrote on Feb. 9. "Link in bio to pre-order or pre-save it x https://es.lnk.to/TJATQ" "The Joker and the Queen" was featured on Sheeran's latest album "=" sans Swift.

However, the upcoming tune won't come as a huge surprise for fans as they've been speculating that something's been cooking for a while now. First, they pointed out that Swift is named on the track's credit list for "The Joker and the Queen" official lyric video on YouTube. In October 2021, they even spotted a Taylor Swift patch on the back of Sheeran's jacket in his "Overpass Graffiti" video. A month later, Swift dropped another hint that a collaboration with Sheeran was on the way when she carved an equal sign into a cake in her "I Bet You Think About Me" video.

"Everything Has Changed" marked Swift and Sheeran's first duet in 2012, followed by 2021's "Run," which was featured as one of the vault tracks on Swift's "Red (Taylor's Version)."
