Who Killed Bunny? Breaking Down "Only Murders in the Building"'s Biggest Season 2 Mystery

There's just one episode of "Only Murders in the Building" season two left, and we've almost fully answered this year's big question: who killed Bunny? At the end of season one, Mabel (Selena Gomez) found Bunny (Jayne Houdyshell) apparently stabbed with a knitting needle in the former's apartment. In season two, it became obvious that someone was framing Mabel, Charles (Steve Martin), and Oliver (Martin Short) for the murder, though it was clear to the audience pretty quickly that they were innocent.

The ninth episode of "Only Murders in the Building" season two dropped on Hulu on Aug. 16, and viewers finally got clarity about some major pieces of the puzzle. Detective Kreps (Michael Rapaport), who narrates the episode, made it much more clear how he ended up involved in this case at all, and it all goes back to "All Is Not OK in Oklahoma," the first super successful podcast from Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) about the mystery of Becky Butler's disappearance. It turns out, we knew who Becky was all along - it was Poppy White (Adina Verson). It's a particularly dark twist, since Mabel, Oliver, and Charles first bonded over that podcast at the start of season one, cementing their friendship. In the new episode, our main trio also get to the bottom of the mystery of the Rose Cooper painting and why the one hanging in Bunny's apartment was a fake. It turns out the woman who presented herself as Bunny's mom, Leonora (Shirley McLaine), was Rose Cooper all along.

But still, some of our questions still need answers, and we can't wait for the season finale. For now, read on for all the evidence against every person who might have killed Bunny and our current verdict on if they're guilty.
