Fall Guys Adds Costume Based On Devolver-Published Platformer Gris

Devolver Digital’s hit Battle Royale, Fall Guys, is adding all new costumes to the game based on their Platformer Gris. In a hilarious juxtaposition of graceful beauty and squishy clumsiness, a Gris-themed skin is available in Fall Guys to both PS4 and Steam players now.

While fellow indie hit Among Us is the heaviest hitter in its weight class right now,  followed closely behind MediaTonic's happy-go-lucky, game show-inspired Fall Guys. As battle royales go, Fall Guys is easiest the cutest one on the market right now, with players controlling  small, colorful blob-like creatures (known adorably as Beans) competing in various stages and overcoming obstacles to beat out the competition and take home the converted crown (or Dub as it is more commonly referred to). Dubs can be exchanged for more costumes, creating an endless loop of competing to earn more costumes and then playing again to show off your newest costume.

The news of Gris being added to Fall Guys comes from the official Fall Guys Twitter account, showing the glorious and vibrant bob wig that players are currently able to purchase from the in-game store. Gris joins a number of other Devolver Digital titles represented as costumes in the Fall Guys universe, with Enter The Gungeon, Gato Roboto, and My Friend Pedro. Various Valve titles are also in the game, such as Chell and P-Body from Portal, Scout from Team Fortress 2, and Gordon Freeman and Alyx from Half-Life

Fall Guys is still enjoying an exceptional launch beginning, since releasing back on August 4. The PC edition of Fall Guys earned the most money on launch since Overwatch first released back in 2016, earning more than $185 million as of this article’s release. For the month of August, Fall Guys became the most downloaded PS Plus game on Sony’s PS4 of all time. Following the overwhelming success of the launch, the developers have been hard at work on the next season of Fall Guys. The second season was confirmed and revealed in a trailer during last month's Gamescom, which showcased some of the new Medieval-themed stages, obstacles, and costumes to come.

The next season is sure to bring even more players to the game, with Fall Guys attracting a player-base of over 1.5 million players within the first 24 hours of release. The game is sure to only continue to grow in popularity as more is added to the mix. Players can only hope that the developers finally take out the minigames fans have been screaming about since launch.
