Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams reveals secrets of cast's WhatsApp group as she speaks at the Glamour Beauty Festival

She's spent eight years playing the fierce Arya Stark in the HBO hit series Game of Thrones. But Maisie Williams, 21, looked a world away from her character as she attended the Glamour Beauty Festival at the Saatachi Gallery in London with pastel pink locks.

The actress, who first appeared as the youngest Stark daughter in 2011, wore a tight scoop-neck shirt decorated with dozens of gold stars and a black lace trim as she appeared at the event on Sunday, where she spoke out on the GoT cast WhatsApp group.

Maisie completed her outfit with straight-cut blue jeans and a pair of chunky black boots - the neutral hues a contrast to the pale pink in her hair.

The Game of Thrones star also wore a delicate chain around her neck and dramatic hoop earrings as she appeared in conversation with Glamour's Editor-in-Chief Deborah Joseph. And speaking at the event, Maisie revealed how the cast of the HBO show have a WhatsApp group in which they share embarrassing photographs of each other.

'We have a Game of Thrones WhatsApp and people just post really funny pictures of one another from various seasons,' Metro reported she told the audience. 'I think there was a rule these do not go on Instagram… but I'm definitely going to put them on Instagram.' The actress - who recently launched her app, Daisie - also revealed the cast is 'one big family' and said she is particularly close to Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister in the series.

She said: 'I've been close with her a long time. When I first met her she didn't have any kids and I was 12 years old and now she's a mother of two. We've been with each other for these crazy times in our lives.' Meanwhile, Maisie and her Game of Thrones co-star Sophie Turner appeared as the cover stars of Glamour UK ahead of the eighth and final season of the show. In an interview with the magazine, the pair - who play sisters Arya and Sansa Stark - admitted they used to 'sneak a kiss' into every Game of Thrones scene to 'freak out their co-stars'.

Talking to the publication, Sophie, who is engaged to Joe Jonas, revealed that people always mistake the two stars for a 'couple' as she admitted that she is 'obsessed' with Maisie, even stalking her hashtag on Instagram. She said: 'Even though we are sisters [in Game of Thrones], we tried to sneak a kiss into every scene we did together to freak everyone out a bit. It kept them on their toes making sure they were following the script.' The two stars went on to reveal that they are both each other's 'strong home' and 'protectors', with Sophie revealing if anything ever happened on Game of Thrones, Maisie would 'go crazy and protect her'. The first episode of the eighth and final series of Game of Thrones will air on April 14.
