The Crown co-stars Helena Bonham Carter and Tobias Menzies reunite on the red carpet at the BFI Chairman's dinner in London

She's set to take over the role of Princess Margaret in The Crown, while he will portray Prince Philip. And so, it was a 'royal reunion' on Wednesday night, as Helena Bonham Carter, 52, and Tobias Menzies, 44, arrived together at the BFI Chairman's dinner held at the Rosewood Hotel in London.

The co-stars were out to celebrate Olivia Colman being honoured with the prestigious BFI Fellowship.

The Harry Potter actress cut a relatively demure figure, in a black maxi skirt and coordinating suit jacket. She wore a silky black cami beneath her two-piece ensemble, and in a nod to her typically quirky sense of style, wore an eye-catching white and silver fringed necklace.

The mother-of-two showed off her unique fashion sense as she swept her raven tresses away from her face with a black hairband complete with a purple bow and plenty of pearl decorations. A smattering of rings and dazzling star and moon shaped diamante earrings completed her accessories, while a dramatic pink eye shadow and a bold red lip finished off her glam appearance.

Looking the part, Game Of Thrones star Tobias stepped out in a sleek purple suit jacket with contrasting black lapels. The actor's classic black trousers were teamed with a crisp white shirt and textured black tie. Series three of the Netflix drama is expected to be released in 2019, with Olivia Colman taking over Claire Foy's role as Queen Elizabeth II and Tobias playing the Prince, following Matt Smith's portrayal of the royal.

Helena Bonham Carter will play Princess Margaret. Fans will get to see the turbulent journey in Margaret and Lord Snowdon's marriage, eventually leading to their split in 1978 - a controversy among the royal family at the time. Margaret's marriage to Lord Snowdon was seen by fans in the show's second series, as she fell in love with the dashing aristocrat and decided to marry him in what proved a surprise to some. Despite a few years of happiness, the marriage disintegrated, with Lord Snowdon uninterested in settling down as a Royal husband, and spent much of their relationship travelling as a photographer.
